Finally watched the film adaptation of Battle Royale. It didn't do any justice to Mitsuko since they cut out her whole history. Dang. She's one of my favourite characters from Battle Royale!

Because her life is just--sad. She's sad. One syllable and only three letters can make up such a simple word but yet with a complex meaning. No, not Oxford-or-Cambridge-dictionary kind of meaning but something else. Can't quite put it into words.
